A. The battery will last between 35-55 miles on a single charge. If you hold onto the bike for a longer period I will supply all the necessary equipment to charge it at home. It’s as simple as charging your phone.
A. I operate as a mobile bike hire business so it’s up to you! When booking just leave your delivery details. I can drop off either at your home or the place that you want to go for a cycle, just let me know.
A. Yes! I have good knowledge of routes around Portsmouth & Southsea. Check out the Routes page for a few examples. I will be more than happy to give you some pointers on the day.
A. With every hire you will receive a Helmet, Lock & Pump. I can also hand you a phone mount if you would prefer to follow a GPS route on your ride - just ask!
A. In the booking process you are able to see what size eBike will be suitable for your height. If you have any concerns over the sizing then please get in contact and I will happily assist.
A. All the eBikes are supplied with helmets, but I would advise to bring your own if you have one!
A. For the summer period there will be a 10% discount on bookings of 4+ bikes!
A. I have had no issue getting my eBike in and out of the house so far.
A. Absolutely - shortly after we meet I will ensure the bike is set up comfortably for you and give you a run over on how exactly the eBike works.
A. Unlike the electric scooters on offer around Southsea, it is not required to hold a license to ride an eBike.
A. For the summer period there will be a 10% discount on bookings of 4+ bikes!
A. The legal age to ride an eBike in the UK is currently 14 years. At the moment I do not have any bikes suitable for a 14 year old, but plan to get some as soon as they are available. For the time being I have great child seats for kids up to 22kg.
A. I would advise against taking the eBikes out on a very wet and windy day. It simply increases the risk of an accident so I am more than happy to re-arrange a booking which has been interrupted by particularly nasty weather.
A. Each eBike has a value of around £2000 so I can understand that you would not want to be held responsible for one being stolen during your hire. I ask that you stay with the eBike whenever possible. If you do happen to leave it, it MUST be locked up to an immovable object by the front & back wheel. The lock provided is Sold Secure Gold Rated which is the highest standard of lock available. It is important that the front & back wheels are connected with the chain part of the lock, and that both are also securely linked to the immovable object that you lock the eBike to.
A. I would ask you to wear suitable clothing for light exercise. The eBikes are largely effortless but on a warm day you can expect to break a sweat. As always in the UK, the weather can turn, so it might be wise to bring a light bag with an extra layer just in case.
